friedcircuitsParticipantHi,
Is there a way to set excerpt length on a per post basis? I want to put a summary sentence at the top of every post and use that as the excerpt that shows under the featured image on the main page.
Here is the site
Thanks.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
You can change excerpt length under Customize -> Blog, note that it changes excerpt length globally. Excerpt displays under featured image and I’m not sure what you’re trying to display on top of featured image. Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
Thanks.

friedcircuitsParticipantI would like to set the excerpt length per post. If you look at the first post I added dots so that only the text block at the top of the post is used for the excerpt. What would be cool is if you can set the first text block as a excerpt so that it just uses only what is in the block. Like a flag option on any block to set it as excerpt text for that post.
Does that make more sense?

ChristianModeratorSorry for the confusion. Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer.
What you could do is use the manual excerpt field. See https://cloudup.com/ctFmuoIUYZp (play in Firefox) for more details.
Thanks.
