islandowlParticipantI cannot figure out how to put a sidebar on the home page in Ethos.
DancingUpsideDown.comThe only sidebar I see under Appearances/SideBar is my ChildTheme-Main. The only sidebar I can seem to get working is Appearance/Widgets/Main.
I will add a private email with login credentials for you.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! To use sidebar, you need to set a sidebar layout from Customize > Layout and Design. Currently you have Fullwidth layout set.
Cheers!

islandowlParticipantRupok, I am afraid you are incorrect. DID YOU LOOK AT THE SETTINGS? I provided you with a username and password.
I am attaching an image of the settings as well. (Please look at it!)
The CONTENT is (and has always been) set for Content Left, Sidebar Right. Yes! The SITE is set for Fullwidth INSTEAD OF BOXED. Boxed puts the whole site into a box. It DOES NOT add a sidebar to the home page (which is the Blog Index page).
Sorry if I sound a bit prickly but it frustrates me that you guys pretty much always give an over simplified and wrong answer the first time because you do not really take the users question seriously enough to answer it correctly.

islandowlParticipantIn case anyone else needs a correct answer ….
The setting is in Customizer/Blog/ then select “Use Global Content Layout”.
Be sure to choose if for both your Archive and for and Layout. (There are two settings.)March 14, 2017 at 9:32 am #1406457
