    Hi,

    I would like to know how to build my x site using ethos, based on the psd that is supplied with the download (ethos-blog.psd).

    There seems to be no information on how to set up anything! The slider used in the psd (with links on the right, pic on left) social icons (where and how?) Things like the “popular” / “recent” posts in the widget that can switch between the 2.

    The latest news filter, that is not a drop down as in your psd.

    Where are the basic instructions for setting this theme up as it is in the psd?

    can you help me out please.
    I am a designer of over 15 years and have used wordpress many times with many different themes, but the instructions are not on your site for any set up resembling the psd.

    Am having a few frustrations too.

    I second this request. I’m setting up and ethos site for a webzine and three common post filters aren’t easily found.
    i.e.
    Recent (All)
    Author
    Popular.

    http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/1/
    Similarly, on the ethos filter ‘filter by topic’ the user would expect the native state (i.e. before user has made filter selection) to be ‘recent posts’ by default and then filter by category after that. Currently, it pulls the first category as the native state, how can I make it default to recent posts?

    Hi Kailas,

    Thank you for writing in!

    As of this moment, this options is not yet available for ethos. I added this as feature request from previous users. And already forwarded to developer, though I’am not sure the time frame needed for it to be implemented.

    I want to know how to recreate the mouseover depicted in ethos-blog.psd. It looks to have the post title at the top (Snowboarding Finals), followed by some text (Lorem Ipsum?) that I’m guessing would be the excerpt of the post?

    I’ve sold my client on this functionality and need to recreate it. Just having the title, date and author meta data in the mouseover is not nearly as useful.

    Please, oh please, this can’t be that hard to implement, yes?
