Using Essential grid, it is easy to place a picture in a grid, use a skin to apply a nice effect, then when clicked show a larger version of the

same image

that was in the grid before the hover effect.

I want to show a DIFFERENT IMAGE, and NOT an image being used in another element of the grid.

Here is what I want to do. Should be easy…

Image 1 – Shows in the grid. When I hover, the magnifying glass and/or Link icons appear, Title Text etc.
When I select any of them – pick one – I don’t care – I want Image 2 to appear in the lightbox.

Seems like it should be pretty easy, but so far not.

Please help as i am not eligible to get support from themepunch since EssentialGrid is bundled with X Theme

Thank you for the credentials. To load different image on lightbox, please check this link:https://www.themepunch.com/faq/display-alternative-image-grids-lightbox/

Then go to Essential Grid > Item Skin Editor > Choose Fillmore > Select the layer that you want to open a lightbox > Select LINK/SEO tab > Under Link To: Select Lightbox > Save.

This approach almost worked but I figured it out. For anyone the surfs these forums like I do, here is the answer.

– Make your essential Grid Source – POST
– The Featured Image of the Post will be on the cover of the Essential Grid item
– The Alternate Image of the Post will pop-up when the Essential grid item is selected

So, I think of the post as a container for my Essential Grid Images. Seems like a round about way to get there, but it works.

I am having the exact same issue as pinheadnc. I purchased the full license to essential grid and they have only manged to direct me to the same support page.

I am confused because I am trying to place my grid on a page, not posts. I do not have a blog. I have a website. Is there a way for me to get in touch with pinheadnc?

I am not sure how the support of essential grid works but you can find the information on Themeforst where you have purchased the plugin.
