Hi Guys,

Great theme and great support by the way, I’ve found many solutions to problems on your support forum.

I’m having with Essential Grid, it’s not showing up in iOS at all. The grid doesn’t display on an iPad in horizontal or vertical orientations. Would you have any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi there,

I don’t know if that’s the problem but your grid pics are much too large. Even my powerful desktop computer has problems displaying the grid smoothly when scrolling the page or doing anything with it. I bet the iOS device just denies to render such much unnecessary data and is overburdened… Find a way to optimize your image sizes (both in pixels and filesize), it’s a terrible experience for me. If you want to let people see the high-res on click on the thumb there are ways to achieve that, but don’t use high-res images when they are never displayed that size in the grid.

Thanks for writing in! @billy-rooney I checked your site and indeed the images used in Essential Grid are of high resolution. Due to the memory restrictions in iOS sometimes websites don’t get rendered. Please optimize your images and check the site again in iOS.

That’s great, thank you for getting back to me, I’ll reduce all the file sizes and see if that helps.
