Hi,

I have set up three grids which are populated with content. I’ve added 3 filters to each which works on two out of the three grids. As soon as I add more than one filter to the third grid, the first filter stops working. When I add the third filter, then both the first and second no longer work.

I would test for plugin errors but why would it work perfectly on the first and second grid but not the third one?

Hello Theme.co staff: Same issue here.

I send attached screenshots from the settings in EG Nav-Filter-Sort (45 posts) and how the grid looks in the front end preview (4 posts?). I think it worked properly until yesterday. It’s driving me crazy.

I’m using Ethos (child) and WP, X, Cornerstone are updated. My URL and credentials in my next message.

Hi Rue,

Does the same apply to my issue or has my problem not been investigated?

I was hoping for a resolution to this as I need to present the site to a client today.As I said before I have no idea why two grids work but the other doesn’t. Oddly the grid that doesn’t work was created before the two that did. So in my mind it shouldn’t be down to an update.

I also said that I have duplicated the grids that work without success and also created a fresh grid without success also.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in and for the clarifications of what you have done in your grid items. Please keep in mind that the sole purpose of the filter is to filter out items according to the filter keyword. In other words, all items must be displayed before the filter works. You can no longer filter items if what’s been being displayed is already been selected out. Your Grid 18 is set to display Course product type and most of these courses has “Harpar” as Awarding Bodies. When you select all products in the filter it will not display other items because in the first places only selected items which is has a product type “Courses” were being displayed.

Hope this explains it briefly.

Hi there,

I’ve done some testing on a development install and found the filtering randomly doesn’t work, though there’s no obvious error or cause.

There is a newer version of Essential Grid which we can try with, would you mind sending over some FTP details in a private reply, I can then overwrite the Essential Grid version and see if the newer version works correctly on your site. 🙂

Hi Jack,

I’m afraid we use a VPN to access our FTP so sharing access isn’t possible.

Is there a way I could give instructions on how to update to the latest version to our in-house web developer?
