I ran an update of Essential Grid through the admin panel and now my site is kicking this error when trying to access the admin area.

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/30/8261930/html/Thepoloparty/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/admin/includes/import.class.php on line 313”

I removed the plugin via FTP and everything goes back to normal, but once I add it back in (even a new copy from the latest X download), I get “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error” when trying to activate it with the “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/30/8261930/html/Thepoloparty/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/admin/includes/import.class.php on line 313” error listed below it.

Is this a known issue or do you have any suggestions for what might be causing it?

    Hello Jacob,

    Thanks for writing in!

Please let us know the Php version you are running on your server. You can contact hosting provider and ask them Php version they are currently running on your server instance. Please note that WordPress recommends PHP v5.6 or above (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/) to avoid any incompatibility issues. If it’s not Php 5.6 or above please ask them to update your PHP version.

    Thanks.

Looks like it is running 5.2, but the host (GoDaddy) says that is no logner supporter, so I updated to 5.3 and will see what happens.
