Hello Chris,
Since you are using Cornerstone in creating your post, you must always disable the column container so that the contents will align the post container and thus removes the extra spaces.
To display the date and author, please go to your customizer and turn on the Post Meta.
Appearance > Customize > Blog > Content > Post MetaIf you want to display the social share links, you can easily insert the Social Share element. If you want it to display automatically right after the content, please check out this topics:

Hi Rad, I open again this topic because I have some text in my account I cannot translate with your code posted. It is the order page, if you do not have any order you get “There are no orders yet.”. I tried to add a case return but it is not translated. How to translate that string? Thank you?
