    At the top of my pages in WP I see:
    Error : Please fix your theme to make plugins work correctly: Go to the Theme Editor and insert <?php wp_head(); ?> just before the </head> line of your theme’s header.php file.

    I assume this will go into my header.php in the main theme and not the child theme.

    Is this an actual error? … and is this what needs to be done to fix it?

    Please advise.

    Also I do not see a closing head tag in the header.php page … Not sure where this code should go

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! It seems that you haven’t installed the theme correctly. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password

    Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Hi there,

    There are some few changes that you need to do in-order to correct your current setup.

    #1. You’re still using X-shortcodes plugin. With the release of X theme v4+ onwards, we have introduced a new page builder similar to visual composer that you’re using and integrated shortcodes functionality in to that plugin. So basically you need to disable and delete X shortcodes plugin and then install Cornerstone plugin through X Addons section within your WordPress backend.

    #2. You’re using the old version of our child theme setup. You can download the improved version of our child theme setup and install to correct this issue (https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-child-themes/).

    Finally you can update your theme as well, as you’re currently using v4.2.2 and the latest version of X theme is v4.4.2.

    Hope that helps.

    I deactivated the Visual Builder and installed CornerStone. But when I go to add/install any of the extra plugins in the X extensions section I get a 404 error page.

    Please advise
