Hi,
I have just installed a fresh install of X for a new website. When I’m trying to install addons (Slider Revolution in particular in this case, but I’ve tried several) I get the message as per described in the topic title “Error Encountered” when I click “details” I get “No package provided”
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Coen

Upon checking, it seems that you have changed your WordPress admin login URL. Could you please confirm?
Thanks!

Thank you for the credentials.
Please try to login to your WP site admin dashboard and navigate to Addons panel. Scroll down to the button and press the revoke validation, then re-validate it again.
Do let us know how this goes.
March 22, 2017 at 3:27 am #1415930Sorry, doesnt’ work.
I did as you did (revoke and then re-validated), after re-validating and trying to install any X addon, I get the same message.
Ps. the “verified plugins” don’t give the error and do get installed.
March 22, 2017 at 9:45 am #1416276I see that this issue has been stated many times already on your forum…. Why is this not yet permanently fixed yet? I see complaints from a year back already.
I have tried the standard instructions that you gave to everybody else as well, they don’t work.
I have revoked, re-validated, tried several different ways of defining my site’s URL in https://community.theme.co/my-account/ (http, https, www no www), emptied cache, disabled caching plugins, nothing works…I would really like to start getting along with building my site.
Thanks.
March 22, 2017 at 3:41 pm #1416772Hi there,
Could you please try re-validating your site again and see if you can install extensions. I have disabled “A2 Optimized WP” plugin for the time being.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!March 23, 2017 at 1:27 am #1417267Yes that worked! Thanks so much.
Really strange though that I already tried that myself yesterday as well…. ah well, thanks!
Can I re-activate the plugin again now or will it break stuff again? 🙂
Also: I plan on moving my current website over (piano-couture.com). So this what I’m building now is actually a building environment only, with a temporary URL.
If I’d change URL later on, will it break my site again?
Thanks very much for your help!
Cheers, Coen
March 23, 2017 at 3:33 am #1417350Hi Coen,
Glad it works for you. You can try re-activating the plugin now and see. I just disabled it to avoid any caching issues.
If you want to move into a different domain, please follow our migration guide here (https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/). Then you need to validate your site again for the new domain (https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/). It will not work if you just change your domains.
Thanks!
