I am using Cornerstone to build pages (Which is excellent. Makes what I’m doing go SO much more quickly.). Also to assist in my Media Library organization, I use Enhanced Media Library (http://www.wpuxsolutions.com/plugins/enhanced-media-library/). In the “Set Image” popup, this should allow me to filter my media by categories that I’ve created. It works just fine with Visual Composer, but it’s not working with Cornerstone. Can you tell me what I should do to get this essential plugin working?
Here is what the “Set Image” popup looks like when using Visual Composer. You’ll see that there is a dropdown for categories.
Here is what the “Insert Media” popup looks like when using Cornerstone. I cannot filter my media.
I will provide login credentials for you in another private message.

Thanks for writing in.
Please check your admin credentials it is not working.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
June 9, 2015 at 5:00 am #296678Oops, sorry, the login credentials should work now.
Additionally, I deactivated all plugins except for Cornerstone & Visual Composer, and I’m still having the same issue.
June 9, 2015 at 1:44 pm #297173Hi there,
Thank you for providing the credentials, It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
June 10, 2015 at 4:12 am #297766Hmmm I disagree. It seems like this is an issue with Cornerstone compatibility rather than the other way around. As explained, Enhanced Media Library is working with Visual Composer and the rest of my WordPress setup – it is only not working within Cornerstone.
Enhanced Media Library is a plugin that your staff has suggested to its users (this is where I got the idea to use it – https://community.theme.co//forums/topic/media-folders/). It is an extremely common plugin and very necessary for users who have lots of media to organize. I would guess that this is a lot of X customers. I understand that you cannot cater Cornerstone and X to every plugin, but I bet you guys test with the common ones, right?
I’d really appreciate it if you would take a look again and let me know what you find.
June 10, 2015 at 6:07 pm #298479Hi there,
Sorry for the confusion. It’s not a bug or any, it’s intended feature to make it more minimal. I understand your point, but as support, we can’t provide customization for cornerstone. Add media is configurable just like from VC, but we don’t allow editing of existing cornerstone files. All I could do is add this as feature request.
Thanks for understanding.
June 11, 2015 at 3:24 am #298806yes, please add this as a feature request! having to scroll thru hundreds (thousands) of images just to find one is simply a waste of time. these media organizers allow for quick finding thru categorization.
June 11, 2015 at 4:40 pm #299406Hi There,
We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.
Thanks!
June 12, 2015 at 10:50 am #300096Alternatively (and even better), is there another way to organize and quickly sort/categorize/filter media that is built into X?
June 13, 2015 at 12:11 am #300550Hi there,
Currently no we don’t have this featured, but as your request we already added that in our featured requests list. You may need to try other third party plugins and check if they work on your site.
Thanks.
October 30, 2015 at 10:09 am #646358Hello.
Just adding a #seconded to this request.
Tested:
Enhanced Media Library – https://wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-media-library/
WP Media Folder – https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-products/wp-media-folderBoth do NOT work with Cornerstone. Granted, the WP media library does not provide great organization, but being able to add a plugin to configure this and be able to access in Cornerstone would be awesome.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. We have noted your request too. Cheers!
April 1, 2016 at 9:52 am #862644Hello,
I’ve recently purchased X Theme and really loved your total solution for WordPress Theme and supplementary extensions. Awesome job!
I’ve tried both “WP Media Folder” and “Enhanced Media Library” on X Theme latest version as of today. Still in Cornerstone when you open Media Library, Folders / Categories doesn’t show up (Exactly as indicated in this thread above).
X Theme Version: 4.4.1
Cornerstone Version: 1.2.2This shows the issue still persists in Cornerstone. As a new Themeco customer, I need to insist this feature/functionality is a very wide used option in WordPress that needs to be taken care in Cornerstone. (While I am noticing this issue was revealed on June 2015.)
Alternatively your guru team may come up with a fantastic extension or solution for categorizing Media Files in Folders. Then this extension can be added to your full package.
Your action on this is highly appreciated.
Many Thanks and regard!
April 1, 2016 at 9:00 pm #863354Hi there,
Noted that, but I can’t provide any ETA. But yes, I agree that it’s a good one 🙂
Thanks!
