We have a system using Dorado’s Form Maker to register people for an event. When forms are submitted the data flows into a database and emails are triggered to alert the registrar of a new registrant. The person registering also receives email confirmation.

The email triggers have ceased to work. Nothing in the Form Maker plugin has changed. No updates were done of X Theme. A captcha plugin was installed, but never activated and deleting that plugin has not remedied the problem.

We would appreciate any guidance that might help us resolve this problem.

Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

*** My tip would be try installing WP SMTP Plugin, it changes the way emails are sent from your website trough your hosting provider, often when that happens with Contact Form 7, this plugin works.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the recommendation for the plugin, WP SMTP. I got that recommendation elsewhere and tried it, but could not get it to work.

I believe our webpages are being compromised by outside attacks that appear as an over abundance of “subscribers” in our list of users. Almost like a DOS (denial of service) attack. We have gotten some very strange messages in one of the email accounts that is supposed to receive forwarded messages. They appear in our “Sent” folder but we never actually sent them. We would like to be able to close this vulnerability, but we don’t really know how people get access as subscribers. Can you help us find a way to control that access point?

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! Regretfully, this particular inquiryt is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your server. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from your hosting provider should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. Your hosting provider should be able to easily see and suggest any solution to this server problem. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.

    Thank you for your understanding.
