Is it possible to use a thirdparty custom layouts type (Toolsets) in order to create the following look to my X theme site? Or is it possible to create with your column shortcodes as well as implementing widgets in footnote area? If yes, to my second question: what would the procedure be for going about this. Thanks.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! X theme always abide with WordPress standards to make sure that it will work win any plugin. Toolsets should work with no problem in X. At the moment, the footer widget areas, which you can set in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Footer > Footer Widget Area, is up to 4 columns only. We do not support 5 columns. On the other hand, you may set up a one color footer widget area and insert a text widget. Inside the text widget, you can always use the X column shortcodes so that you can have a 5 column layout.
