Hi,
I’m building a new site in three languages.
I’d like to know if theres’s a good way to duplicate pages to translate them with cornserstone.
I tried to do this, but I duplicate a page but when I tried to edit with cornerstone, the content was moved to the left…please let me know if there’s a way to solve this
thanks
June 9, 2015 at 10:42 pm #297562Hi there,
Thanks for writing in. How were you attempting to duplicate the pages? Could you provide us with the steps to replicate the issue so we can look at it? Also would you mind providing us you URL so we can check as well? Thanks!

I try to get all the code in the text tab of the designer, then I create a new page, I paste the copied code and then I change to cornserstone
thanks

June 10, 2015 at 11:18 am #298146Having this same issue as well, I tried this method https://community.theme.co//forums/topic/can-i-easily-duplicate-a-page-i-created/ but i’m guessing that only worked pre cornerstone.
June 10, 2015 at 2:44 pm #298334Hi George,
The URL you provided looks fine. I tested the page duplication in local setup and it works just fine. To duplicate the page i switched to text editor, copied the code and then created a new page and pasted the code. Don’t switch to Cornerstone editor but save the page. It should be displayed correctly.
@herba you can follow the same procedure.
Let us know how this goes!

I have tried the above a number of times but when I load up cornerstone the main content area is the blank default cornerstone one. As per other threads on the topic; I have also tried to save the page I’m after (built natively in Conerstone) as a template page, which works better, but it’s missing some of the sections. Personally I’d prefer to just copy the code to a new page than save as a cornerstone template.June 12, 2015 at 12:25 pm #300166Hi Digica,
In that case, please open a separate thread and provide us with your URL and WordPress login credentials in a private reply so we can take a closer look at your setup.
Thanks!
July 20, 2015 at 10:22 am #334970Hi,
I try to do it this way, copy content in text tab, create new page, paste content in text tab of the new page, save and when I try to change to cornerstone I get this message“Hold up! The content has been modified outside of Cornerstone. Editing in Cornerstone will reset your changes. Do you wish to continue?”
and all the content is gone… how can I fix this?

There is no option to duplicate pages which are not from a cornerstone. It will removed all your content when converting from VC or text editor to cornerstone. If the page is already made from cornerstone, you will save the template then use it on other cornerstone created page. as shown in the image below,
Saving the template of a cornerstone made page,
Step 1: http://screencast.com/t/f2jDjG5ArpFo
Step 2: http://screencast.com/t/sdbt66CLuThen if you want to replicate that template,

In regards to your left justified link above,

Hope it helps.
Thanks. Let us know how it goes.
January 13, 2016 at 9:34 am #744373Hey Themeco,
I’m having the same issues as the user above and was able to duplicate the page but it’s still not solving my issue of having all of the content in a container even though I have everything set in fullwidth. There should be no reason all the content is being contained. I would open an new issue but I haven’t found any help or info on how to post my own issue so I’m forced to append to existing issue threads.January 13, 2016 at 12:44 pm #744633Hi @mikemalott
Thanks for updating this thread. You can try setting a Blank – No Container template – http://prntscr.com/9porq1
You can also set Marginless Columns and disable Container for the section – http://prntscr.com/9posa1
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
