Is there any way to create a 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4 section, fill the first column with all the elements that I need, then duplicate that first column (containing the elements I added to it) over to the other 3 columns? Or is the only way to do that to copy each individual element 4 times per element?
ThanksJune 5, 2015 at 4:09 am #293367Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, duplicating the column isn’t a feature yet in Cornerstone. This might be a good addition to CS. Right now, you can only duplicate an element and drag this element, place it in the column of your choice.
We have added this suggestion to our feature list. This may be included in one of our future releases.
Thank you.

March 11, 2016 at 9:41 pm #834407Hello There,
Thanks for updating this thread! In our latest version of Cornerstone (1.1.0), we introduced Skeleton mode. Skeleton Mode is an alternate editing interface that focuses on page architecture rather than the visual design. You can quickly rough out page layouts, then transition to the live preview to finish your design. It’s also a great tool for locating elements in more complicated layouts, providing a structural overview. If you’re more partial to a “backend” page building experience, you’ll feel right at home in Skeleton Mode as well. Please see our change log (https://theme.co/changelog/#cornerstone-1-1-0).
Anyway, when you are in Skeleton mode, you can easily duplicate section and rows. With columns, that would still be in development because at this moment on, it is impossible to duplicate a column if the other columns exists already. The correct term should be “copy and replace” column. This is already in development. Once our developers have this feature, it will be updated and rolled out in our future release updates.
Thank you for your understanding.

I started with a three-column design, then added a fourth but cannot, for the life of me, copy any of the existing columns over into the fourth slot and when I copy each element individually I can’t get it to align with the first three properly.Thanks.
July 12, 2016 at 6:24 am #1082934Columns could not be duplicated. Please give us the URL of the page you’re setting up and a screenshot of the section and also access to your WordPress admin so we could see your setup.
Thanks.
July 13, 2016 at 10:08 am #1084989Hey Christian,
I figured it out. I copied each individual element in the column. The reason it wasn’t aligning is because one had the padding measured in px while the other was measured in %. I fixed that and it’s working fine.
Thanks!
