pdraude1ParticipantMy drop down menu stopped working. I’m not sure exactly when but I think it was after the auto update to wordpress 4.7.2.
I’ve tried a number of possible fixes looking through the forums but none of them worked.
The weird part is the menu works fine in the backend customizer.
I am using chrome – I’ve cleared cache, disabled plugins, updated the theme etc and still nothing. Tried making a new menu and still same problem.

JadeModeratorHi there,
What you’re seeing is a result of the X CSS path structure being changed back in version 4.3.3. You can fix this by using the updated child theme format that isn’t stack specific. Or you can update the path in
style.cssof your child theme. For more information on this process, take a look at the 4.3.3 release notes: http://theme.co/changelog/#theme-4-3-3.Let us know how it goes.

pdraude1ParticipantUpdating the path didn’t work.
If I update my child theme I have to move all of my css too? All of my CSS I’ve added in the CSS customizer. I have a lot of css added.

pdraude1ParticipantWell I updated my child theme to the one recommended via FAQs for the 4.3.3 information and my menu is still not working.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please disable Autoptimize and Wordfence security plugins temporarily, clear cache and check again.
Thanks.

pdraude1ParticipantIt looks like Autoptimize was causing the issue. I disabled it and it started working again. Is that a plugin I won’t be able to utilize from now on with x themes?

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing back!
Kindly clear the cache after disabling the Plugins temporary. You should be able to use them after a while.
Thanks for understanding!
