It seems that I can’t install addons even though I can install plug in regularly.
It show the message as follow:
“Your WordPress file permissions do not allow plugins to be installed.”

I change all the file permission to 777 in my cpannel, But It doesn’t work (don’t know if I have to set a specific folder to 777).

Being a new installation I really don’t know how to proceed.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Andrea,

This seems to be a permission issue. Even though we try to install the extensions manually it ask for the FTP credentials, which is we can not do on the Addons panel. This seems to be a security feature.

Please contact your hosting provider support and ask them how you can go around with this feature.

Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers!

    Hi @imak,

In this case, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link login to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / Password
    – FTP Account

Don’t forget to select Set as a private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Thanks.

    Hi Andrea,

Everything should be working fine now πŸ™‚

I added this code to your wp-config.php file:

    define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

    Regards!

Thank you very much, there was a way that I was supposed to know that?
Or it is something standard and I could have find it somewhere in the knowledge base?
(Just to know if I have everything in place or if it was caused by some mistake by me).
    Thank you very much

    Regards!

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for updating the thread! No, the fix my colleague applied is unique to your site, the way it is set up. The issue may have been caused by a plugin or security feature. The plugin or feature may have been installed or activated by you unintentionally or it may have been pre-installed by your host (if you used a one click WP install script from your host).

These are just possibilities though, let us know if you need anything else regarding this. Thanks!
