Hi
Just trying to figure out the background video sections. It seems they require a single URL to be bring up the relevant video.
Does that mean I can’t use a host like Wistia or YouTube for the background videos and that I have to upload them via the Media section of my wordpress installation?
Thanks!
Andrew

You can’t use a YouTube video as background since YouTube is not supporting this kind of embeding. Vimeo videos only can be embeded if you are using the premium/pro version otherwise this is also not possible. The best thing would be to upload your .mp4 file on your ftp server and then use that address in your background video settings. Also make sure your video is not too big.
Hope it helps.
October 11, 2015 at 10:27 am #620371Thanks, that makes sense. I don’t use Vimeo Pro, but I do use Wistia. Is that an option for me to use?
(uploading the video myself via FTP is possible of course, but I believe can run into playback issues as, obviously, a Vimeo Pro account is optimised for video playback in the way that simply placing a video on my own server would not be. That’s why I’m keen to see if it’s an option for me to use a video hosted by Wistia)
October 11, 2015 at 7:44 pm #620754Hey Andrew,
You can use videos from Wistia as long as you provide the link to the video and not the embed code of the video. For example, this one:
http://embed-a.wistia.com/deliveries/94eb1c4ccfef9659a58dce923c36e3d201b6e096/file.mp4
Notice the end of the file? This is the video file url which is hosted in Wistia.
Hope this helps.
