    After trawling Disqus forums, I’ve come up with a solution.

    For those that Google this later.

    Login to Disqus.

    Go to Admin

    Select your site.

    Go to the General tab

    Under Appearance, change the Color scheme to For light backgrounds

    Save. Update your site.
