Hi,
I’m having an issue with getting Disqus to show up on my Page: http://founderorigins.com/university-business
– I downloaded the Disqus extension (Addon –> Extensions)
– I enabled Disqus Plugin (Addon -> Disqus Comments: clicked enabled, created a disqus account, added the shortname
– I enabled Discussions (Page –> Screen Options –> Clicked the “Discussion” box –> Scrolled down to the Discussion Tab and clicked “Allow Comments”. I unclicked “trackback/pingback”
– I also have comments enabled on settings (Settings –> Discussion –> “Allow people to post comments on new articles”)How come I still cant see the Disqus comments? Should I install the Disqus Plugin instead of using the X-theme Disqus extension?
Regards,
Wilson

Disqus comments should be activated as well in pages if comments are enabled in the discussion setting of the page. I have check the page you have link and there seems to be a Javascript error that is stopping Disqus to be displayed. With this, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
January 4, 2016 at 1:01 pm #731283Hi,
I narrowed down the problem and it has to do with Page Attributes, and not Plugins.
In the page dashboard, under Page Attributes –> Template… if the “Default” is selected, Disqus comments will show up. However, if I change the template to “Blank – Container | Header, Footer” then the Disqus comments dissapear.
I’m guessing by changing the template, it’s overriding the Disqus extension. How can I fix this?
Thanks!
Wilson
