Hi, I found exact functionality that I need for lightbox provided by free plugin.
How can I disable/remove default plugin for light box, and use the one I want? Thanks
August 31, 2014 at 2:02 am #95618Hey Abigail,
There is currently no way to disable iLightbox in X. But, if you won’t use the lightbox, its resources won’t be loaded in your page. With regards to your plugin, we cannot integrate it into X because we don’t provide support for third party plugins.
Thank you for understanding.

August 31, 2014 at 2:19 am #95627Hey Abigail,
If you don’t use the X lightbox in your page, its resources (css and scripts) won’t get loaded. With that said, there is no chance that it will conflict with another lightbox. We’d love to help you with your concern however, third party plugin conflicts is beyond the scope of our support.
Thank you for understanding.
June 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm #292697This is simply not true. Calling on a number of plugins we’ve tried for a lightbox, iLightbox still takes over every time. iLightbox to this day still has issues working specifically in Chrome on Windows 8, so we’re trying to opt for another lightbox.
We made no use of the X shortcode for a lightbox, no iLightbox- or X-specific classes or attributes. You should give the option to remove and/or disable it as well as other features. Make things more modular. It’s not impossible to remove. It’s just code – but it’s a headache trying to gut it out of the installation.. Please fix this issue or at least offer a sound workaround to disable it, thank you.
June 5, 2015 at 2:09 am #293300Hi,
You can check on our demo pages(http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/), If you try to inspect the pages that doesn’t have images in lightbox you will see that none of the ilightbox resources(css,js) is being loaded on the page.
Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/x/member/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Thanks
June 8, 2015 at 5:30 pm #296292It is up to date, and a number of people on our team have confirmed this bug still exists. It does not function properly with Chrome for Windows 8. If you click on the button for a lightbox, nothing happens. There is absolutely a chance that it will interfere with other lightbox plugins. As I mentioned before, we have tried a number of different plugins, all of which if triggered, either does nothing because of the iLightbox plugin taking precedence on Chrome for Windows 8 or brings up the iLightbox instead of other plugins’ lightboxes. No errors in the console, so I don’t know what is happening with your plugin and why it takes over or doesn’t work.
