I bought the theme yesterday so I have the last version now, I’ve got all the extensions and plugin installed, including the x-shortcode plugin and they are all updated, the Demo content shows only in code, and I don’t know how to correct this.

can you please help me to find a solution

Hi,
I am having a similar problem with the Demo showing code.
I have tried a number of different demos and get the same thing.

I have had a lot of trouble installing the cornerstone addin, and have resorted to installing as a wordpress Plugin instead of an X addin. Can you tell me if there is a difference between a WordPress back end Plugin and an X Theme Addin?

Any ideas what else might be causing the issue?

Thanks for writing in!

Upon checking your website, I can see that you have updated your theme to the latest version but still using x-shortcodes plugin.

X-shortcodes is being replaced by cornerstone plugin in the latest version of Xtheme.

Kindly deactivate your x-shortcodes plugin, then install and activate cornerstone plugin via X – Addons > Extensions.

Hi Steve,

Don’t lose hope we’re here to help you. The main issue why codes are showing on the front-end is because the Cornerstone by Themeco (us) is not installed. The Cornerstone you’ve installed is the one by Archetyped, that is not the Cornerstone required by X. Hence, you already installed the Cornerstone by Archetyped, you cannot install the one from the Extensions. So you need to delete that Cornerstone by Archetyped first.

But X won’t allow you to deactivate that Cornerstone because it thinks that is the one its requires.

To delete that you need to switch to a default theme first (twenty fourteen or twenty fifteen), but before you do that navigate to Addons > Customizer Manager and Download XCS File keep this file as a backup.

After you switch to default theme, deactivate and delete the Cornerstone by Archetyped. Delete the X – Shortcodes as well. After you successfully delete the Cornerstone and X – Shortcodes, switch back to X|Theme and restore your backup XCS File. Install the Cornerstone from Addons > Extensions. That should do it.

If you still having issue installing Cornerstone from Extensions, please provide us FTP credentials and we’ll be happy to install it for you.
