Just installed wordpress (version 4.7.3), XTheme (4.6.4) and Cornerstone (version 1.3.3) on my new site (group551.com). So it’s a clean install. Went to ADD-ONS and to DEMO CONTENT, chose EDUCATION and it fails to import. Read some of the threads and tried changing the PHP version from 5.6 to 7.0 and 7.1 to no avail. So I got A2 Hosting (my host provider) on the phone to see if they’re seeing any errors or know of any issues as to why the import fails. They said no errors were encountered (I tried the SETUP DEMO CONTENT with A2 on the phone) and all seems to look good on their end. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks for your help. Looks like a great product and I’m anxious to get it running, but I know uploading the DEMO Content will save me many hours.

    Hi there,

What’s your purchase key? For the meantime, please try re-validating your X theme’s purchase key again to cleared up the transient’s related to demo. It says “Invalid Demo Name” which usually related to transients.

    Thanks!

How do I re-validate my purchase key?

Ok, I uninstalled XTheme then re-installed and tried importing the EDUCATION Demo Content. Still didn’t work. So then I found the small print “Revoke Validation” at the bottom of the X Addons screen. Did that, then was given the option to validate again, I entered my purchase code and it validated. Then tried importing the EDUCATION demo content again to no avail. It says INITIALIZING then says it failed to download. I did notice that about 12 EDUCATION photos did import into my Media.

    Hi there,

This is very common issues on hostings with its own external storage for transients/cache. I tried installing transient cleaner but it’s not allowed, even cleared the demo cache with no success. It still displaying the same “Invalid demo name”. Your site seems to have multiple levels of caching. Could we disable it for a moment? I can’t guarantee if it will work but you may try to install your site on your local machine and import the demo then migrate it to your live staging.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad,

That worked. I deactivated these 3 plugins (EWWW Image Optimizer, W3 Total Cache, A2 Optimized WP) then tried importing the Demo Content and it worked!

I noticed you loaded Transient Cleaner. Should I leave it there and activated?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Mick,

You may leave it active in case you will need to clean the site’s transients but feel free to remove it in case you don’t need it.
