I’m having a strange issue where the content on this X Theme site is loading strangely. After the page loads, there’s a delay, then, seconds later, the content suddenly appears. This seems to be happening mostly in Chrome and Firefox. Not seeing this issue in Safari. Any ideas?

I’ve already done all of the things that are on that page, but I’m still having the issue.

I don’t really know how better to explain it. When I go to that site (Or any page on it), the page backgrounds load, and about 5 seconds later, all of the content SUDDENLY appears. Like a flash. It’s not like a normal slow page load, it is that the content just suddenly appears.

I use WPEngine for hosting, so my caching and other things like that are all taken care of. Like I said, this happens mostly in Chrome and Firefox.

Thanks for writing in! It seems you are using a minify plugin that might cause this issue.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know what you find.

I did have WP Minify installed. Disabling it didn’t seem to fix the issue at first, but I disabled the rest of the plugins and re-activated them one at a time, and it seems to be working now. So, it must have been WP minify. Thanks!
