Hi,
This might be a silly question but I can’t find anything on this in the knowledge section. I purchased X Theme under the impression that I could really customize. I see that there are photoshop files that come with the theme but what can I do with them? Are these just for comping designs? I would like to customize the theme in ways such as: centering the logo, moving the menu below the logo and other aspects that have more to do with placement as opposed to color. Am I able to do this with this theme?thanks!

You can find our video tutorial under https://theme.co/x/member/kb/ in Customizer section,if you need further customization please provide us with URL and give us more information so we can help you with this.
For these purpose you don’t need photoshop files you may need some custom codes.
You can select stacked layout under Customize -> Header -> LOGO AND NAVIGATION to display logo on top of navbar.Hope it helps.
December 3, 2014 at 10:47 pm #157967Hi,
Thanks for replying. I watched that tutorial and it looks like the customization options are limiting. Also, all the examples of sites that I’ve seen that use X Theme basically have the same layout. The only difference is the styling but most of the placement is the same from what I’ve seen. If I want to do customization beyond what is standard (such as moving the header to the left or the right or keeping it static). Is this what child themes are for?December 4, 2014 at 5:45 am #158143Hi there,
Thanks for writing in!
Yes 🙂 using a child child theme to do customizations is the best practice. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. If you setup a child theme, please also review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.
Other than that, I’d highly recommend reviewing our Knowledge Base as we’ve covered almost every feature inside the theme and you’ll find it very useful 🙂
Also, moving the header to the left or right or keeping it static is the default feature of the theme, you can achieve it under Header > Navbar Position in the Customizer (Appearance > Customize).
Hope this helps. 🙂
Thank you.
