    Hello.

    When hovering over a blog post in the blog posts index page that’s a link, it uses a layer of color that looks like black with some slight opacity overlaying the featured image of that post. I’d like to customize that color but can’t find the CSS through forum searches.

    See attached image.

    Any help is appreciated.

    thanks,

    -Matt

    Ah, sorry about that.

    The page on the site is here. That first story there, when you hover over it, it shows a chain and has a hover overlay color. Would like to change that color.

    Hi There,

    You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.

    .entry-thumb:before {
        background-color: blue;
    }

    Feel free to change the blue with your desired hover color.

    Thanks.

    Thanks, but that’s not what I want to do. That’s for the area around the chain icon.

    When you hover, see how it overlays black over the featured image? I want to change that color.

    Thanks for the help.

    Opps, sorry about that. Please use this code instead.

    .blog .entry-thumb {
    	    background-color: cyan;
    }

    Thanks,

    That did it but cyan doesn’t work. I mean, I don’t want cyan anyway so changed it to what I *do* want, but I guess for some folks it would be better to put “red” there as that always works for testing. With cyan, it simply made no change at all.

    Anyway, thanks for the fix! Worked once I changed that color. Cheers!
