Hi, I’d like to change my blog title so it reflects the current category on single posts e.g. whilst on an Event it says ‘Events’ at the top.

I’m using three main categories- Minister’s Letters, Events and Sermons and don’t want all of them to simply be titled “The Blog” or something generic as is possible through Customiser -> Renew -> Blog Options -> Blog Title

At the moment I’ve simply left ‘Blog Title’ blank in the above customiser options, but would prefer to have categories as titles.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

You can add a title in category edit page.

    See screenshot – https://www.screencast.com/t/k3MbOJnRVig

    Thanks Paul,
That will override the “archives” title by my understanding but not the single post title?

Eg if I’ve clicked on an event / ministers letter etc and am viewing a single post, the title wouldn’t be affected by that- which is what I want to change.

    Hi there,

Category title would be appeared on Category pages. As I understand you are trying to show Category title to Blog page which sounds unusual because there might be multiple categories for the posts that will be shown on blog page. So you can set your Blog Title to whatever text you want and set the Category title individually.

    Thanks!
