    Hi,

    I am building a website for an antique furniture store using mainly woocommerce.

    I am curious if I can create custom taxonomies (so, on top of product categories, I want to add ‘materials’, ‘Country of origin’ etc). I also want to add an extra field for size (all chairs have 2 types of height, the actual height itself, and the seat height).

    Is it possible to do that using X and the accompanying plugins?

    I am currently using a series of plugins from Toolset, but the customized layout for single product page doesn’t look the same as your single product template.

    Thanks for writing in! You can search for plugins for that (https://wordpress.org/plugins-wp/wc-fields-factory/).

    Also you can use ACF Pro plugin with custom development.

    Thank you Darshana,
    WC field Factory doesn’t address my issue.
    I am reluctant to use ACF because a lot of their plugins are not tested for the latest WP version.

    My follow up question to Theme Co is which files to modify if I want to change the look of single product pages.

    Hello John,

    It will depend on which part of the single product page you want to modify. You may check this folder:
    \wp-content\themes\x\woocommerce\single-product. It would be better if you will give us screenshot of what you want to achieve so we can be specific on our recommendation.

    I’d like to modify the right column of the woocommerce single page:
    – Product Meta (to include additional/customized taxonomies)
    – Add product weight
    – Add product dimension
    – Include a customized text field

    Hello John,

    Thank you for the clarification.
    Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this will require more than simple customization. We do help on simple design customization and little functions update on what is currently available but then this is not really existing on the default function and woocommerce though recommended is still a third party plugin. You may wish to consult a developer to achieve this.
