    Hi

I’d like to allow Guest Users (without subscription) to use specific different Frontend-FORMS in order to upload to My Site their:

    • Photos
    • Drawings
    • Citations
    • Etc.

and I’d like to divide these contents in the above Groups (Photos – Drawings – Citations – etc.)

Do You suggest me to proceed :

    1. using DEFAULT POSTS (with different specific CATEGORIES for each Group)
    2. using PORTFOLIO POSTS (with different specific CATEGORIES for each Group)
    3. create specific CUSTOM POST TYPES (for each Group)

I know this is a customization and You cannot provide support for this kind of question…
BUT I’d like only a generic suggestion or Best Practice compatible with X Theme.

    Thank You

    Hey there,

You can use the X Portfolio. Please bear in mind though that we do not know the details of your project so it would be best to hire a consultant for your project to get a detailed recommendation.

    Thanks.

    Hi There

As suggested I choose to using PORTFOLIO POSTS (with different specific CATEGORIES for each Group)

    I use:

    • CALDERA FORMS in order to let Guest Users to create Portfolio Posts using Caldera Frontend-FORMS
    • X-PORTFOLIO Categorized Posts in order to view Guest Users submissions

In my test environment I save for Guest Users submissions:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Featured Image

and than I view all X-PORTFOLIO Categorized Posts in “portfolio” page.
Everything seems to work fine, BUT when I click over a single Portfolio Item, the “portfolio-item” single page doesn’t show the Featured Image.
Something is wrong or I need a customization in order to view Featured Image on SINGLE “portfolio-item” page?

    Thank You

    Hi there,

That means the plugin is not correctly registering the featured image.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Though, I can’t promise a solution since it’s a 3rd party plugin. But I’ll check it first to see if it’s just a simple issue.

    Thanks!
