I have a staging site with godaddy, which I’ve pushed to the main site. After this all links, except the ones in CS have updated to the main sites url. How do I get ones in CS to link to the main sites URL as well?
ex: http://601.df5.myftpupload.com/2015/01/The-Team-Block@2x-optimized-e1424352753277.png should be http://fisheyestudio.com/2015/01/The-Team-Block@2x-optimized-e1424352753277.png
Is there a plugin I could use?
Thanks!
August 20, 2016 at 4:38 am #1139331so to update this.. I have tried the Velvet Blues Update URLs and it successfully updated the URLs to the main site but as soon as I enter CS to edit, then it erases this update and reverts back to the old dev site URL
please help. Thanks!
August 20, 2016 at 4:41 am #1139334Hi there,
How did you migrate? Did you follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration to migrate CS content?
Please check this link too : https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
Hope it helps.
August 20, 2016 at 5:02 pm #1139746I used GoDaddy’s migrate tool to push Staging to Production. everything moved great but the images in CS… Does this mean their system doesn’t recognize serialized data, so should ask them to implement?
Thanks!
August 21, 2016 at 4:35 am #1140154Hi Mark,
Maybe it’s skipping serialized and JSON data. But you may install Better Search Replace Plugin and manually replace this string,
601.df5.myftpupload.com with this string fisheyestudio.com
That should fix your site’s URL.
Hope this helps.
August 26, 2016 at 3:51 pm #1148778Hey Rad,
That plugin seems more robust and worked. But same thing is happening. Once I enter cornerstone, all these url edits disappear and revert back to the staging site url. Seems CS holds onto the link data in the page’s database and once entered into edit mode grabs that instead. I can’t think of a way to change this without manually clicking each BG image and updating.
Thoughts?
August 26, 2016 at 9:21 pm #1149183Hi there,
Hmm, could it be Godaddy’s cache? Godaddy has its own caching system, external transient storage, and maybe it has database caching too.
Been using that plugin and I don’t remember I had similar issues, it’s working as expected. Though, I didn’t try it yet with Godaddy’s managed WordPress hosting. Would you mind contacting them? I’m a bit curious about it too.
Thanks!
