Hi,
I have just installed a new version of revolution slider with the bundled zip file.
I have now lost my old slider from the old version.
So now I am confused as to how to setup up a new slider with images stored in my media library.
Please can you show me how to do this. I have been trying but I can’t see anywhere that enables me to add a slide and select the images I want from the library.
Thanks for your help.
October 9, 2015 at 6:53 am #618008Hi
I have now managed to add images. My issue now is that the images are all very zoomed in and do not fit to the window of the slider. I have it all set to auto. Can you advise if I am doing something wrong?
I also am trying to setup for auto-updates, I have entered my Envato account API code, Purchase license and username but it is not recognising any of these details. Can you advise please?
Many thanks,
Charles
October 9, 2015 at 7:32 am #618041Hi there Charles,
Hope you’re well today, could you link me to your site please so I can take a look at the slider for you? 🙂
With regards to the validation, are you trying to validate X or the Slider? If you’re trying to validate the slider, that wouldn’t work, as the slider is bundled, whenever a update is released for the slider, we then update X with the latest slider. Hope this makes sense. 🙂
Thanks!

You need to add your image as an image layer instead of adding it as a background.

October 9, 2015 at 10:13 am #618239Hi there,
I have used the layer method and yes it works better to re-size the image to the slide.
However for some reason, it is not visible on the page I want it and the slides themselves just display a chequered pattern.
Thanks,
Charles
October 9, 2015 at 11:37 am #618384Hey Charles,
On which page you’re trying to display the slider? Can you please give us the link of the page so we can take a look? You can use Slider Above / Below Masthead option to display your slider on any page by editing the page in Dashboard > Slider Settings: Above / Below Masthead.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for updating the thread!
I’ve checked your site and I’m seeing a console error (see: http://prntscr.com/8qfuch). It seems slider could not load the image and that’s why it’s showing blank/white second slide. Can you try changing the second slide image and seeing if it works.
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
October 12, 2015 at 8:34 am #621524Do I do the same as the first slide?
So I click add new blank slide, then create new layer – image, select image, add button or whatever else as additional layers then click save from the right scroll bar menu?
Thanks for your help.

October 12, 2015 at 9:34 am #621629Hi,
Got the slides working great.
Just the images/slides are not mobile responsive when previewed on a mobile device.
What setting do I need to select or have in place for the slides to auto respond to mobile device screens?
Thanks,
Charles
October 12, 2015 at 11:04 am #621773Hi Charles,
Thanks for the additional information!
As Revolution Slider is a 3rd party plugin, regretfully, we have limited support for it that only covers its compatibility issues with X. So any question related to transitions, animations or how the certain feature of the slider works, would be getting outside the support we can offer. You may refer to Revolution Slider online documentation: http://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
You can review our Kb article on Revolution Slider for more information.
Thank you for understanding.
