rachmddxParticipantI am wondering how i go about creating a text band across a header image like this one
so that the band is partially opaque but the text is not.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thank you for writing in! Are you referring to the colors that is masking/overlaying the background-images? Please provide us your site URL so we can take a look on your section.
Cheers!

rachmddxParticipantI haven’t created the page yet – I’m referring to the transparency of the yellow band (showing through the background image) while text is still 100% opaque.
when i play with the opacity of sections it affects background and text.
I want to create a header just like in that example linked above.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Don’t use opacity property. Use RGBA type of background color instead.
Let’s you’re using a custom headline. You may addbackground-color:rgba(255,255,255,.5);on the style field of the element. It will not affect the opacity of the content just the background color. See this:https://css-tricks.com/the-power-of-rgba/Hope this helps.
