Hello,
I am trying to get my website something close to another site in terms of basic structure which I will build out over time.
I’m kind of having a rough start trying to figure out how to get it to this basic starting point.
Would you have any tutorials in which I could focus on to get in this direction? I feel like I have a decent understanding of all the basic features of X but having some trouble bringing it all together. Perhaps I will need to start looking more heavily into the CSS.

Then use the tutorial for demo content https://community.theme.co/kb/demo-content/ to import the look you want.
Our Knowledge Base is the best resource to learn about Basic WordPress, Features of X and Cornerstone. So I’d suggest you to explore the Cornerstone videos because you could utilize them to achieve literally any look of your site. You might need to add some custom CSS/JS that supported by Cornerstone.
