    sorry to add to this thread. I have added all the code given above but i do not get the option under categories to select the sidebar. Must be something to do with the functions.php coding but i have copied and pasted as written on page 1 of this thread and it doesnt work.

    You already know that’s a very old thread and the code might be obsolete. So you should open a new thread instead of replying on an old thread and we already asked for that to our users on previous reply. Kindly open a new topic and provide your information there.
