    Hi there,

Customizer’s custom css is not connected to child theme. It’s stored in database and shouldn’t be affected by theme update. But it’s always best to backup your customizer setting before doing any update or customization.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Sorry to bother you about this again. I upgraded my version of x-theme, and the email form in the topbar has disappeared. I can’t for the life of me remember how I put it in there in the first place – and looking through old header.php files, it wasn’t done that way.

Is there a place in Customizer to do it?

    Thanks,
    Cathy

    Hi there,

We didn’t ask you to modify header.php file, all we provided was CSS codes and CSS won’t overwrite during update., can you be more specific and provide us with more information.

    Thanks.
