    @mkaniran, I think that’s the main purpose of the provided css. Or Are you referring to remove the space above it? You can disable your empty topbar at your customizer. And I’d like to see how it’s setup, would you mind providing your site’s url?

    Thanks!

    I thought I’d update the thread and point out a simpler solution that may have always existed – I don’t know. A quick way to get a fullscreen background image on any page is found in Cornerstone.

    1. Edit your page in Cornerstone, click Settings in the top left corner of the screen (top right side of the Cornerstone pane), click X Settings, and paste in the URL to your background image (you need to go upload the image in the Media Library, click Edit on the image, and then copy the File URL in the top right corner of the Edit screen).
    2. For the best effect, you probably want to change the Page Template of the given page. Again go to the Cornerstone Settings pane, click General, and then under ‘Page Template’, select ‘Blank – No Container | Header, Footer’. That’s the best template, in my opinion, for a page like this.
    3. Next, paste this code into the same Settings pane in Cornerstone, but this time click ‘Custom CSS’ near the top of the pane:
      /* header transparent for fullscreen bg image */
      .x-navbar {
          background-color: transparent;
          border-bottom:none;
      }

      .x-logobar {
          background-color:transparent;
      }

    4. After that, all you need to do is set your first section in Cornerstone to be a transparent background and you’ll have a (relatively) fullscreen transparent background. I say relatively because the screen will only be transparent as far down as the first section goes, but that should give you the basic effect you’re going for.

    Hope this update helps someone!

    Why was the background-per-page feature even depreciated? That seems like a VERY useful thing to have, and making it so difficult for no apparent reason doesn’t really make sense to me. Can someone shed some light on this?

    Hi There,

    Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what feature you’re referring that is depreciated? The background-per-page option is still there.

    Would you mind to provide a little more clarification?

    Thanks.

    This was just what I needed. However I have one issue, as you know when you scroll down any at all the standard menu bar comes back. This is fine and looks correct but when you scroll back up the standard menu bar stays. I would like to same look when you scroll to the top as it looks when the page loads.

    Hi @i35677

    As it’s a long thread I am not entirely sure which code you are using. Would you share the code you are using right now?

    Also we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks

    Hi Joseph,

    What logo and what page? I don’t see any blurred image within it. And please start a new thread related to this, this is getting longer and may harder to manage.

    Thanks!

    It works now so no need. I will create another thread for another issue though. Thanks.

    Hello-
    I am about to give up… I have tried for hours and hours, days and days. I keep runnning into dead ends when I try to alter the templates- like the case study page. In the last 3 hours-I have read on forums- on how to add a background image to Ethos home page. None of the codes has worked for me. Can you please please help me?

    Many thanks in advance.

    the last code I tried is this:
    [content_band style=”color: #fff;” bg_image=”http://yoursite.com/path/to/your/image.jpg” parallax=”true” border=”all” inner_container=”true”] [custom_headline style=”margin-top: 0; color: #fff;” level=”h4″ looks_like=”h3″]Cool Headline[/custom_headline] <p>Esurivi enim et dedistis mihi manducare: sitivi, et dedistis mihi bibere hospes eram et collexistis me nudus et operuistis me, adipiscing ego me: infirmus, et vidi post me, visitastis me in carcere eram et venistis ad me.</p> [/content_band]
