beyondthelamppostParticipantHi,
I have an author page that displays all of the posts written by a given author but the page doesn’t actually say who the author is. All I would like to do is give the page a title that is the author’s name. I’m guessing it will involve editing _landmark_header.php as was required to adjust the titles of the category and tag pages, but I’m not sure what code would be needed to call the author’s name.
Ideally, I would also love to provide all of the information that is included in the author box (ie avatar, name, website, bio and social media links) above the archive of posts if that is possible. Could you please advise what is necessary to make these two adjustments to my author page?
Thanks.

RupokMemberHey there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Thank you for your understanding.

beyondthelamppostParticipantSeriously? Could you please tell me the process you use to determine what is part of the theme support and what isn’t, because I have been using these forums to make all the customisations I have done so far. It seems that sometimes when people ask for help, they are told that it is not part of the support, but then another person will ask almost the exact same question and be given help.

RupokMemberHi there,
Let me explain. Support covers getting setup, theme features, and bug fixes. Apart from this, when you need some beautification, we are more than happy to assist with some CSS. But when it ocmes with complex code that involves changing template with Child Theme, usually it’s out of our support scope. Still if the question is achievable and straightforward then we try to point that with correct files and possible codes without any guarantee and most of the time it works with few trials and errors.
Your question that you are trying to achieve is not enough pretty straightforward and requires complex coding and unfortunately out of our support realm.
Hope this explains better.
Cheers!

beyondthelamppostParticipantI actually got the idea to add an author box to the top of the page from one of the X theme forums, where someone else was asking how to do it. I will figure it out for myself.
