Hi, I am using Icon 2 demo. I have 2 questions.

1. In visual composer I would be able to enable row into full width and put a single image, or set the background image for row. That way, it looks clean and vibrant to put content on top of it. I am liking Cornerstone. But in row settings, I dont see row full width. I see only padding. I did a search before posting, and i see your answer about margin. Is it demo specific I will not see different settings in cornerstone? Regardless, pls tell me how can i enable full row width with background image on it. Or set a full row and put a single image end to end.

2. How would i put a shape waves or something as sort on both end of the row, so it holds the content in between. I have seen several site that way. Is it the full row width bg image, with transparent center to hold content? Is it responsive? Please advise.

3. I dont see visual composer extension in the downloaded extensions folder. I have a purchased visual composer as stand alone, but I believe it would work best if i use your version right? How do i get it?

4. If I enter text, or call out for eg. I dont see an option to color the fonts in text editors. Do i have to use html tags? Wish its’ inbuilt for me to change colors. For eg: call out element, i am unable to format the text below the title to highlight email id in diff color.

5. uploaded background pattern in customizer > layout and design > background pattern – image upload. Not showing in the site. Even diff color background is not reflecting. tried background pattern, background image. it still shows plain white. what could be the possible cause?

6. from menu to the first row on the page content has too much space in between. Where do i control that? Thanks!

Thanks for writing in!

1. To get rid of the padding and margin, all you need to just select the row and enable the Marginless Columns and disable the Column Container. See – http://prntscr.com/8v8bee

2. Would you please clarify it a bit? A screenshot or example would be appreciated.

3. Visual Composer is included with your download of X. It’s located in x\framework\plugins and the file name is js_composer.zip.

4. You can just use the Style Field to put some CSS to style it – http://prntscr.com/8v8dsj
(If you can’t find the Style field, make sure to enable Advance Option – http://prntscr.com/8qv57p)

5. Make sure you are not using any caching plugin and try clearing your browser’s cache. If the issue persist and you can’t figure it out, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials

Thank you for giving us your admin credentials.
1.) Instead of Fullwidth Layout, you can use Blank No Container Template. Please check X Test Page

2.) When you say coming from right, did you mean moving in from right? The background is slowly moving in? If that is what you want, unfortunately, it is not a featured offered by X. On the other hand, if you just want to add background on Row’s Column, please check Section 2 of X Test Page. I’ve added background on seconds row’s column.

3.) Supported Visual Composer of X is V4.7.4. Standalone Visual Composer is V4.8. Please note that we have not tested yet the latest version.

5.) Upon checking, there’s no background pattern in the customizer:

Thanks for amazing quick response. On point number 1, I see you have added section & row again. But I can’t figure out, where you added that image as a background with full width row. Same for 2.

But my 2nd question is actually very simple. I think am not rephrasing it properly. All I want is to add image and content in between.

assume below ~ symbol is on the left and ____ is on the right and content is in between. ~ & —- should be responsive and coming at the end of each. for god’s name i can’t find a sample when i broneed it :/

Hi, I apologize for the delayed response. Have been caught up with my full time job. It’s unfortunate, that I have tried exactly what you have done, but still the image is not end to end stretched. At one point, I created a new home page, and started working with visual composer which is very familiar to me. But then, I do not see any usual vc elements but all same your elements which didn’t help. back to square one. Please see the home page where i tried to add a full row stretched image above tabs which is a facepainting image. it’s not stretched.

I went to row, turned on margineless, turned off column container. then in the adv, added background-image url. I tried this in row, and as well as column. same result.

And another thing, i added pattern for the entire page background. it’s still the same result. Please advise. I am thinking about switching to a diff simple theme to use visual composer to get the site up and running. It’s been months i purchased X but not able to put it to use :/

I sincerely apologize for this drag. I have been using many themes with visual composer, and its’ always full width layout comes with no container, and i use row settings with container. Now i changed the layout everything works. I just did overlook.

But then the pattern for background is not working. can you pls see what’s wrong? i uploaded in background image, and background pattern, both didn’t work. so i removed them is what you see that i haven’t uploaded any. pls advise. thanks again.

I am finally able to find a border image. It’s a vertical shapes, which i want to put on the first row of home page to give some depth to the content. This is what i was referring to point #2 which you asked me to provide sample. I basically want this shape to it’s original 100% resolution right aligned but it just expands as entire background. I know i uploaded this as a background image, but i want to achieve it to be on the right aligned to give some depth. how do i do that? pls advise. thanks!

I would like to put pattern like this on both side. or either right or left. so pls address it for all scenarios. this is what i have been referring to holding the content in between with a nice design.

Are you trying to send some screenshots? I think you have forgotten to attach the images. If the images exceeds the file limit, it will not be uploaded. You could also try to use dropbox or prntscr.com to share your screenshot to us. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do like a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

Hi, Sorry, got stuck at work. I need to complete this site though, and tried to switch to visual composer plugin editor but unfortunately all the short codes are still cornerstone terminologies. Which makes it as similar as using a corner stone.

Issue is, please check the home page bluephoenixae.com. The first row, i have added a background image which is actually a png shapes. Wanted to give some dimension to the content. If you can’t see, attached a ref image for you. It is a high res image, but it’s stretching all the way to the end makes it look pixelized and odd.

Question is, would i be able to upload two image one left aligned, and one right aligned so content looks nicer in between?

would i be able to add a foreground image which overlays the content?

Why is the background stretching and pixelating?
