I have been working on inserting shortcode for a slider in a Textbox in Cornerstone but I am having problems saving my work.
When I click on the Save button the arrow temporarily changes to a red circle with a line through it, indicating that my work didn’t save, even though the green banner appears with a congratulatory statement. Sometimes the preview accurately represents the shortcode that I just inserted, others times it doesn’t. In “Screenshot 1” the preview pane is accurately displaying the shortcode. In “Screenshot 2” the live site is showing the same error message that I keep getting since I changed the slider from “DuplicateOpeningSlider” to “ProductSlider.” This problem has been occurring for two days in spite of numerous refreshes, window closings, etc. I even deleted the text box and tried again–no luck. I have tried other sliders and even simply working with other elements–no luck. Cornerstone is not saving my work right now.
Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing this problem?
Thank you.

July 6, 2015 at 10:00 am #322284Hi There,
Thanks for updating! upon checking your website, I can see Cornerstone working perfectly. Note that the icon appears for a few seconds while it saves the changes. Let’s check it again.
Thanks

Cornerstone still has the same problem for me. Try going in to Cornerstone and changing the name of the slider on the Home page just below the Nav Bar from “DuplicateOpeningSlider” to “ProductSlider.” When I do this I see the preview pane update correctly, BUT the SAVE button will not actually save my work. Try clicking on SAVE. You will see the red circle with a line through it come up immediately after clicking on SAVE. Then click on the HOME button as if you are trying to return to the Dashboard and you will be met with a red warning pop-up saying, “You have not saved any changes!” Then, try to view the page at mydev.hansonsports.com and you will see that there is still a red warning box indicating that “DuplicateOpeningSlider” wasn’t found.
Please duplicate these steps exactly. I suspect that if you do then you will find the same problem that I did. If not, then I will take that as a confirmation that I have gone crazy.
Thank you for your help.
July 6, 2015 at 12:16 pm #322386Hi there,
Yes, I’m able to replicate the issue. In such case, I’d advise you to try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
July 6, 2015 at 2:37 pm #322516I found it! It was the Lightbox Plus Colorbox plugin that was throwing a wrench in the works. Thank you for your help!

If you face problem on a specific page then there might be any glitch on that page. And you can also try increasing PHP memory limit. You can try connecting to your root WordPress directory via FTP and open the file wp-config.php and add following at the bottom:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
