Add me too… definitely need an undo button (with multiple undo steps). It’s very frustrating and time wasting when dragging an element does not work as expected and the only way to “fix” the messed up “dev” page is to reload the browser page… losing all cornerstone changes since the last save.

    Hi @yabwee

Thanks for your feedback. This is already on our list and our developers working on that. We can’t give you any ETA but certainly it’s on the way.

    Cheers!

I just discovered the hard way that there is no undo…
I found this 9 month old thread stating that it’s being worked on. We have a brand new version of Cornerstone now but still no undo. The previous posters are correct – undo shouldn’t be considered a new feature to be discussed, it should be a part of the core functionality, like saving… You wouldn’t consider releasing software that had no save function, would you…? Undo should be considered the same way.

(Expecting the same robotic response that everyone else has received…)

    Hello Chris,

Thanks for updating this thread! We apologize if the undo button is still not available. This is still in our enhancement list. We have a lot of things lined up and this is one of them. Meanwhile, with the latest release, you can make sure of the Revisions feature of WordPress. This is something more viable and more useful because you can go back to any point in time you have made some changes to your page.

The WordPress revisions system stores a record of each saved draft or published update. The revision system allows you to see what changes were made in each revision by dragging a slider (or using the Next/Previous buttons). The display indicates what has changed in each revision – what was added, what remained unchanged, and what was removed. Lines added or removed are highlighted, and individual character changes get additional highlighting. Click the ‘Restore This Revision’ button to restore a revision.

To know more about revisions, please check out the codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Revisions

It’s the middle of 2016. Is there an Undo yet? Just beginning with Cornerstone and X, and already lost work because I can’t find the undo. How can any development tool not have an Undo? Just so you can see something and revert back if you don’t like it. We don’t all know what we’re doing like you guys do.

Also wondering, do we have the capability to ‘revert’ back to saved versions? I just seem to have done something and lost another hour of work that I saved. Is it gone for good? I don’t see a Saved Versions button anywhere.

    Hi there,

The Revision feature still has issues as it doesn’t sync on the changes made on editor than changes made on the cornerstone. It has two part, content, and data. And cornerstone is dependent on that data, which revision some bugs. And Undo/Redo is a feature made for editors so it may take a while to implement to a builder. Though, we’ll keep improving cornerstone.

    Thanks and stay tuned.
