I used Cornerstone for two days and it was working fine until this morning. Now when I try to build a page and add elements I get spinning circles and cannot do any building or editing. It is also affecting other areas or WordPress – I cannot add a page to the menu and images are not displaying in the media library. I am not able to work on my website which is very frustrating. I had my hosting company increase the PHP memory, deactivated third party plugins and cleared the W3 Cache page cache. Please advise.

Did you add the W3 Total Cache plugin before the issue? It might also causing by insufficient memory. You can try connecting to your root WordPress directory via FTP and open the file wp-config.php and add following at the bottom:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
Note that if your host limit the memory on server then it might not work. In that case ask your hosting provider to increase PHP memory limit.
You can find more information on http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
March 6, 2017 at 9:32 am #1396342I see you’re using W3 Total Cache, please disable minification and clear all caches. Please note that minification. X scripts are already minified so that is not needed. If you need minification for other plugins, please contact W3 Total Cache for professional setup.
Thanks.
March 6, 2017 at 8:51 pm #1397149Minification is disabled and I cleared all caches and PHP memory limit was increased. I also deactivated W3 Total cache again. Nothing helps. Is this fixable?
March 7, 2017 at 2:34 am #1397378March 7, 2017 at 10:57 am #1397963My hosting company (Netfirms) needs more specific information, like a screenshot of the actual error. Can you send me that? Netfirms said there is not permission problem with access to the admin-ajax.php file. They think it is a compatibility issue. If the problem cannot be resolved, I would like to return the theme and get a refund. thanks.
March 8, 2017 at 2:52 am #1398787Hi,
I would like to check file permissions, however I login to your ftp but could not find the exact directory of your site.
Please let us know on which directory your subdomain test resides.
Thanks

The best way to explain it to your hosting provider is to let them see it. Let them login to your site and have them access this URL, http://test.higherhealing.ca/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=csg_list_shortcodes ( It’s even visible from the provided screenshot, underlined). It’s WordPress’s admin-ajax.php and X theme is simply using WordPress resources, hence, it’s not because of compatibility. They simply blocked the access to that URL, and permission is not always related to file system permission, they have their system so they should be familiar with it.
There are many possible causes, including this https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2014/05/please-stop-password-protecting-your-wp-admin-folder-because-it-breaks-public-ajax-for-wordpress/.
Thanks.
March 8, 2017 at 11:52 pm #1400120Just saw this. I’m having the very same problem. Cornerstone logo will constantly spin and not go into the plugin.
If I force quite my browser and come back in, I have a better chance of it working correctly, but this is certainly not a long term solution. Can you help?
March 9, 2017 at 1:54 am #1400244Hello There,
Thanks for updating this thread! At this time we kindly ask that you open up your issue along with your login details in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.
Thanks!
