I’d like to chime in and say that I too would be excited to hear about when you add this. It would speed things up significantly, hopefully it’s not a whole lot of work for you to add.

I just posted a note on same topic. Big flaw this is not already in Cornerstone…

    Hi @peter4576

You can still save the page as template and use it as Template block.
    To do this :

    1. Click on Templates on your Cornerstone editor – http://prntscr.com/8rlr3k

    2. Click Save to save the page as template – http://prntscr.com/8rlreo

    3. Click Upload and upload the downloaded template to another site you want to use the page.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

    i Vote Yes

How do u save as a block and not a whole page?

Also, isn’t a block like a section anyway? whats the difference?

    thanks!!

    Hi Scott,

Yes, they are basically the same in terms of saving, a block is equivalent as a whole content/template and not by each section. You can’t choose what to save as block, it will save the entire content as a block.

The difference is their use, when you insert a template that is saved as page, it will then replace your entire page content. While inserting it as a block will just simply append the template to page’s existing content.

    Thanks!

hmmm it looks like u have just showed me how to add a new page template.

I was asking about how to save and add just a block, so it doesn’t erase the whole page.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

If you select ‘block’ option when you insert template you don’t lose your page and new template simply adds to existing content.

    See the attachment.

    Hope it helps.

That would really be great, my solution now was to save the whole page as template (as block -> My Blocks) and add it to the next page at the bottom, then delete all sections except the needed one 😀
