I’m having some trouble with saving my content using Cornerstone.

Firstly I get a ‘Loading the preview took longer than expected. There may be script conflicts on this page.’ note. But there is no non-Cornerstone content on the page.

After editing something and hitting save I get a successful save message (AWESOME), the page then automatically refreshes without actually saving the edit.

My host has already increased the php memory limit as indicated elsewhere on the forum.
I’ve tried de-activating all plugins except Cornerstone – still having problems. Could you advise?

UPDATE: This issue only seems to affect that one page – other pages save with Cornerstone fine.

Hi there,

Kindly try removed the Cornerstone folder through FTP which you can find in wp-content/plugins.

After completely deleting it, head back to the WordPress admin section and reinstall and reactivate Cornerstone again and see if it fixes the issue.

Thanks for the login credentials!

This issue looks related to the memory allocated to your site. Please try adding following in your wp-config.php file:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

If it doesn’t help, I would advise contacting your host and requesting them to increase the memory limit.

Hi

I’d already added those lines of code from looking at a previous thread.
As I said in my original post my host has already increased the php memory limit – it’s really high now.

Any further help you can offer?

It’s possible the problem is related to Slider Revolution, X packages 5.1.4 and the current version is 5.1.6
How do I go about updating to the new version?

Hi there,

No need to update Revslider plugin, you already have the compatible version. I tried to export the page template but ‘template’ tab didn’t show the options. I tried in a new page and still didn’t display the options. Also there was JS error in your console, see the attachment.

Please connect to FTP and remove cornerstone folder from wp-content/plugins and reinstall it again from X A ddons -> Extensions.

Let us know how it goes.

As stated above I have already done this twice. I just did it a third time. Now Cornerstone won’t even load I just get the logo graphic.

I just deactivated revslider and now I’m back where I was.
On most pages Cornerstone works slowly but fine. On the page I mentioned in the OP – cpadev.bluecrushcommunications.com/campaigns – I’m still unable to save. The action of saving just refreshes the page without saving.

Should I just delete that page and start again? I’d like to know why this is happening to prevent it.

You can try re-creating the page. There might be a corrupted element or illegal HTML character that could be conflicting with the Cornerstone.

OK I re-created the page using templates and another page. The save / refresh problem is now gone on that page.

But I’m still getting problems on other pages:
– The new http://cpadev.bluecrushcommunications.com/campaign page is still loading slowly and says there may be potential script issues.
– Some other pages – eg http://cpadev.bluecrushcommunications.com/about-us/ – are just hanging on the cornerstone logo or continually refreshing. It does seem worse with the revslider plugin activated.

Can you please log in, look at the scripts and and work out what’s wrong?
