Hi,
Cornerstone is not showing up as an option iN ‘Settings’. I have activated the plugin, is there something I am missing?
The site is http://www.hannahchester.com
Thanks,
Hannah

Because I have the identical problem. When I go to the Extensions Page to install Cornerstone I get a 403 Forbidden page from my server Hostgator. As a matter of fact when I try to install any of the plugins on that Extensions page I get the same 403 Forbidden message.
Went to live chat technical help for Hostgator and they went into my site – they said that they had loaded it successfully. However they had loaded a plugin from the WordPress depository that has the same name “Cornerstone” by a different author not the Themeco plugin. Going around in circles here with the hosting company with no success so far. They’re passing the blame onto the plugin manufacturer as expected.
My site is 75% completed on the previous version of X before the release of 4.0. I would like to keep those pages as they are for the time being and install Cornerstone to build the remaining pages on the site. Is this possible or is that the reason that the plugins on the Extension page will not load?
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I think that’s what I did – I think I downloaded a plug in named Cornerstone not by Themeco, and now it won’t let me delete the plugin.
What a mess.

June 4, 2015 at 1:35 pm #292722What I did was accidentally downloaded a “Cornerstone” plug in from “Archtyped” and not Themeco. I finally got that plug-in deactivated and deleted. Then I installed the Themeco Plug-in and disabled the X-Shortcodes and IT’S ALL GOOD now.
June 4, 2015 at 7:55 pm #293010Hi there,
Yes, you don’t have to keep the X-shortcodes plugin now. You can still use X Shortcodes as it is integrated into Cornerstone. Please see our Changelog at https://theme.co/changelog/ for more details.
Thanks.

I don’t see any error message on the page so your best bet would be to ftp connect to your web space and go to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the “cornerstone” folder in there and see if that resolves the issues / shows the site again although Cornerstone should not be able to cause something like you’re experiencing.

Sorry we were not able to login to your site using the given access information.
You are using an older version of X shortcodes. We are no longer updating X shortcodes. It has been replace by Cornerstone plugin which is required to run X 4.0.1. Please deactivate this plugin and install Cornerstone plugin in X Addons > Extensions.
Please let us know how it goes.
