I searched for any known issues and could not locate any threads.
After installing and setting up White Label CMS, I noticed that the Visual Editor tab for ‘Cornerstone’ is not available to the Editor users in order to build/edit pages. However the ‘Cornerstone’ Elements tool button are shown on the editor.
Why would the ability to Edit with Cornerstone ever be hidden from the Editor users of a site’s backend/cms? Am I missing something here (other than the inability of my editors to use Cornerstone)?Wordpress 4.2.2,
X-theme 4.0.3,
X-theme-child 1.0.0,
White Label CMS 1.5.4 (this is NOT the X Add-on ‘White Label’ extension that comes with X)Thank you…
June 25, 2015 at 1:57 am #312367Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
July 4, 2015 at 10:05 pm #321122Just wanted to reply and say I found the issue to why my editor roles did not have the ability to edit with Cornerstone as stated above…
It seems I missed a checkbox to include the Editor role in the Cornerstone Settings (Settings > Cornerstone > Setting > Permissions).Thought it might help someone else out there, if they stumbled across this thread or had the same question/issue.
Thanks for the Knowledgebase article, https://community.theme.co//kb/cornerstone-setup/
