I am really loving Cornerstone, a masterpiece……….. and I can see how much effort has been put in to this fabulous Page Builder. In my opinion, the best Page Builder on the market.
Just a question, I am migrating from VC to Cornerstone and there is one element I cannot replicate in Cornerstone – that is a Modal Popup. Is there anyway to achieve a modal box, triggered from text or a button?
Many thanks.
May 28, 2015 at 10:39 am #284609Hi there,
In Cornerstone we didn’t furnish controls for the previous X Shortcodes lightbox. The shortcode is still available, and you can find it here: http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/responsive-lightbox/
We ran into some issues with the current lightbox script, and instead of just forcing it to work we decided to hold off so we could make time for a more elegant solution. We do have plans to solve this in a future version and provide a proper modal / lightbox solution inside Cornerstone.

September 28, 2015 at 1:56 pm #601752Hi,
My client wants to be able to click a button and have an image pop up in a shadow box (Modal). Is this possible? I saw this thread, and thought this would be the best place to ask this question.
I’m running WordPress 4.3.1, latest version of X, and using Cornerstone – you can see the button on the following page:

The button is “Plan View” near the top of the page.
Thanks!
September 28, 2015 at 2:49 pm #601852Hi there,
You can use our [lightbox] shortcode to open image in a lightbox/modal. Please refer to our kb article on [lightbox] for more detail: https://community.theme.co/kb/shortcode-walkthrough-lightbox/
Thanks!
March 2, 2016 at 6:33 pm #821079Hello,
Is this still in development. It would be great to have modals for forms, etc.

Not yet. Please stay tuned for updates.

March 4, 2016 at 8:55 am #823628Agree with Bryan, modals (pop-up) are becoming more popular and acceptable now, especially if they are used correctly.
March 4, 2016 at 3:30 pm #824083We have noted these suggestions Steve. Thank you!
