Hi there,
I have been using Cornerstone for my website for a few months for my website with no problems. Yesterday I updated WordPress version on my website (as prompted), and after that whenever I try to edit a page, Cornerstone hangs with the spinning icon for a long time. I have tried increasing WordPress memory limit as I found several articles that recommended doing so. (i changed .htaccess and wp-config.php). However this does not fix the problem – Cornerstone still hangs! Please help – as I have a tight deadline to update my site. I will provide login details to my website in separate message.

I’ve tested editing those pages and didn’t experience any issue. Please clear your browser history and check again.
Thanks.
July 14, 2016 at 2:05 am #1086341Hi there – it is still not working for me in Chrome and Firefox. I have cleared browser history in both browsers and still the Hang persists. I have taken a screenshare video to illustrate the problem in Firefox – can you please have a look at:- https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6nBaVs2wgSvdjMycGVQMk0xN0E
Cornerstone continues to hang as you can see from the video above.
any ideas? Is this linked to WP Memory Limit? do i need to do anything after changing WP Memory Limit – e.g., restarting Apache/MySQL? Are there problems with scripts on the Homepage??
any insights would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance for your help
David
July 14, 2016 at 5:17 am #1086535Hi David,
Another support here, it’s not loading for the first try, but then it works after reloading the page. And after few tries, it never fails to load.
Is this shared hosting? Do your host allowed memory limit increase? It seems not taking effect the increased limit.
Thanks!
July 14, 2016 at 6:01 am #1086593yes it is shared hosting. How can I check that the memory limit has been applied? do i need to restart WordPress after applying the memory change?
July 14, 2016 at 8:09 am #1086746You can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-php-info/ or you can ask your host.
Thanks.
August 3, 2016 at 10:04 pm #1116620Hi there,
after a lot of coordinating with my Host, I managed to get Memory Limit for PHP increased to 512MB. Please refer to attached doc for report from the PHP Info Plugin that you previously suggested. It shows Memory Limit at 512MB.
However, Cornerstone is still hanging when I try to edit a Page! The icon keeps spinning indefinitely when I try to edit a page. I have tried clearing Cache/History to no avail. I have tried both FireFox and Internet Explorer (and cleared cache/history both times). I have also disabled Plugins that may be causing issues.
I have not been able to update my WordPress site for 2 weeks now due to this issue, hence any help to understand why CornerStone is hanging would be much appreciated.

DavidAugust 4, 2016 at 1:49 am #1116826Worked it out. after a lot of troubleshooting with the assistance of my ISP, it turned out the problem was due to the AVG Antivirus Link scanner on my computer. After i disabled it, X started working again. Go figure…
many thanks for all your help
David

Glad to hear that! I was checking too and unable to find. No wonder it works after reloading and reloading.
Thanks for sharing!
