Ok, I have a couple of issues where this is starting to pop up. I have a site with a new install of X and when woo commerce (installed via your extensions page) is installed, Customizer just keep refreshing and does not save any settings.

I realize that we can deactivate woo commerce to get things working, but if everything was installed via the X extension page, is there a fix for this? Should we be using a different version of Woocommerce?

2nd issue is on a multisite and Woocommerce is not installed but getting the same issue. We have not installed any new plugins or anything new and now we are getting this issue. The multisite is not something that we can shut off plugins as it is a large multisite install.

    Help!

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.3.29 and WordPress 4.3 requires at least 5.6. This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Here’s a letter you can send to your hosting company:

    Dear host,

I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/>
web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following:

    PHP 5.6 or greater
    MySQL 5.6 or greater
    The mod_rewrite Apache module

    Looking forward to your reply.

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

On the multisite, we are running php 5.6 with the same issue. We will upgrade the other server today and then we can look again.

Upgraded the server that I put the login details to above, to Php 5.6 and no change in customizer behavior.

    Hi Boyd,

I checked your provided site but I’m not able to see the reloading issues of the customizer. Looks like it’s fixed now. Would you mind providing a screen recording of what is really happening? What browser you’re testing it on.

    Thanks!

Looks like this is isolated to Safari. This does not have the issue in Chrome, so maybe you want to make a note for a future patch to see what is going on in Safari, but for now we will just move to Chrome (which works better all around anyway)

    Hi Boyd,

Thanks for the update, I’ve made a note of the issue with Safari and we’ll look into getting a patch for that in the next release.

    Thank you!
