Hi,
I have an issue with cornerstone. Firstm, problem occured on iMac with Safari (couldnt add any elements to columns), later the same happend with Firefox. Than tried to work with PC, and for a while, It was ok, but after 15 – 30 minutes both PC’s browsers IE11 and Chrome crashed.
1. When each time I start using Cornerstone with IE 11, browser shows an old image in live prieview that no longer exist(please see attachment of that image). This image was uploaded by IE11 with Cornerstone when everything was ok, but later i made changes and deleted that image.
2. Chrome – in a live view shows everything ok as it is, but I cant add elements (or see them in live view)I tried different ways to solve problem: deleted cache of PC and all browsers, deactivated all plugins (except cloudflare), purged cache in Cloudflare, added a rule in cloudflare as it was sugeested here in forum, but nothing helps. Finally, i turned on debug mode in Cloudflare, but after 30 min. still the same problems are here.
Please help me…

Just to confirm, have you tried the following suggestion?
The Cornerstone builder takes place on the front end, so sometimes Cloudfare tries to cache its resources. This can cause stale data to be loaded. To resolve this, you’ll need to disable Cloudfare when the builder is in use. This won’t effect front end performance at all.
1. Log into CloudFlare and navigate to “Page Rules”
2. Add a new rule using this URL pattern: *.example.com/*?cornerstone=1
3. Under custom caching, enable “Bypass cache”
4. Turn Performance “Off”If you’re still having issues editing a page, you may need to login to Cloudfare again and purge the cache.
October 16, 2015 at 12:54 am #627598Hi guys again,
Just wanted to clarify “To resolve this, you’ll need to disable Cloudfare when the builder is in use’. So do I have to deactivate Cloudflare plugin? and do i have to change Cloudflare settings in Cloudflare account parallel? a) to pause website or b) set development mode ?
Before I asked for help here, I made these steps – rule was already added and configured like it is suggested above (see my rule settings in attachment), plugin was deactivated, cache was purged from cloudflare account (tried to purge http://www.sigitagaudutyte.lt/?cornerstone=1, and http://www.sigitagaudutyte.lt/), waited more than for 30 minutes, but this did not help.
How long do I have to wait, maybe 30 minutes is not enough?Today I still see image in cornerstone live preview that not exist anymore.

Hope you’re well today and thanks for writing back.
I’ve just tried to check this for you and everything looks good on the site itself, no errors etc, unfortunately the FTP information didn’t work for further debugging.
I got an error when trying to connect of “Connection timed out or server hung up. The server you are connecting to may be configured to limit the number of connections you are allowed to make.”
Can you double check the FTP details please? 🙂
Thank you!

Thanks for the additional information.
I’ve taken a look and everything also looks good code wise, there’s no errors, warnings or notices breaking the response, cloudflare rule is correct. The only other possible issue is, there’s multiple cache files from different caching plugins you’ve installed, which are in /wp-content.
Could you delete those please and see if that makes any difference to it working, if not, can you disable Cloudflare for the whole site please?
Thank you!
October 16, 2015 at 10:20 am #628071Hi,
The only thing helped, was to pause Cloaudflare account. It took about 5 minutes after I paused account and I could start working again with cornerstone. But if I only going from “Pause” to “Active” status in Cloudflare account settings again, so after 5 minutes problem appears again.
Is it possible to solve this problem somehow, that It would be possible yo work without pausing Cloudflare account each time?

October 16, 2015 at 12:02 pm #628190Hi there Vaidotas,
Thanks for writing back, glad to hear it works with caching paused.
Can you also exclude your wp-admin please with this page rule and see if it then works with caching activated.
*yourdomain.com/wp-admin
And
*yourdomain.com/wp-admin*
Thank you!
October 16, 2015 at 12:10 pm #628201Hi,
Before adding new rules, just wanted to clarify:
Isn’t it necessary to put “.” before domain name begins : *.yourdomain.com/wp-admin AND *.yourdomain.com/wp-admin* ???
You suggested not to put “.” at the begining: *yourdomain.com/wp-admin and yourdomain.com/wp-admin*Vaidotas
October 16, 2015 at 4:52 pm #628500Hi there,
The issue is with rocket loader from Cloudflare. It will never work if you will not disable it 🙂

October 17, 2015 at 5:22 pm #629514Hello guys,
Thank’s for your help a lot. After you suggested to add and test 2 new rules, finally Cornerstone started to work, but with a small bug. New rules which I added are: *yourdomain.com/wp-admin and *yourdomain.com/wp-admin*. I’ve tested, that there is no need to add and activate both rules at the same time, as Cornerstne started to work after first rule was added, and after I added second rule, it worked the same. After these new inputs were made, small bug was noticed – each time I start Cornerstone, I have to reload the page I want to work with, but I dont have to go from Cloudflare’s “Active” staus to “pause” status anymore.
While mentioned two rules were passing the test, Cloudflare account was activated, and Rocket loader option was set as “automtic” in Clodflare’s speed settings. Later I activated WP Rocket cache plugin with intergrated Cloudflare account, but I didin’t notice any new glitches.
Thanks for your great support !
