    Hi there,

Upon checking staging site, seems like you’ve fixed the issue as I don’t see styling issue. Please see the attachment.

Please check provided credentials as they don’t work anymore.

    Thanks.

Hey there! I just re-posted the access info. I had to recreate the user after the site blew up and I had to restore from an older backup (which erased your user). So you’re all set to access again…FTP access should still be good.

The site is back up at GMSAV.com, BUT Cornerstone is still broken. See the images attached:

    1. Image “02_GMSAV_FrontEnd.jpg” shows what the home page looks like and all the elements below the video at the top that I SHOULD be able to see, access and edit when editing the HOME page within Cornerstone…but I cannot. Nothing is there.
    2. Image “01_CornerstoneNotFixed.png” shows what Cornerstone looks like from the back end when trying to edit the home page. All the page content is missing…cannot be accessed, even though it shows on the front end of the website.
    3. Image “issueArrowsAndApostropesEtc.jpg” shows a screen shot showing the broken keystroke double-arrows and also apostrophe marks (elsewhere in the website)…they seem to be broken and show up as a weird question mark. This is what lead me to find out Cornerstone was broken in the first place after the initial migration…I was logging in to try to fix those issues…but discovered I can’t even get to the page content to edit!!!

SO, I still need help on this. There has to be SOMETHING we can do to fix this? Some way to find out EXACTLY what is wrong and causing this? We know its not other plugins…we tested that. I ran the BETTER SEARCH REPLACE plugin so there are no permalink discrepancies after the migration. We’ve run the ARTISS TRANSIENT CLEANER too. Nothing is working.

    HEEEEELLLP! 🙂 Thanks@

Unforunately I do not have the original build anymore after we migrated and restored.
I did use a complete all-in-one backup system called BackupBuddy, which is noted in the migration instructions in X-Theme docs. Admin is heinously broken and this is not the first time this has happened. Are you guys SURE this theme works with BackupBuddy?

SOOOOOOOOO many issues with Cornerstone over the last 6 mos. Crazy town.

I’ll try restoring a previous backup of the site on my server to test. Unfortunately, it will not be the “Finished” site and we’ll have to do a lot of work over again…but, I’ll let you know if Cornerstone is STILL broken.

    To be continued…

    Hi there,

It’s not about BuddyPress and X theme’s compatibility. It’s about BuddyPress it it’s able to do migration versus your current system and setup. Any migration plugin is expected to work on any theme and plugin, it’s because the migration is done for the whole site and not to specific theme or plugin.

In my personal experience, yes migration could fail, and BuddyPress could fail too like any other. It’ depends on many contributing factor, and that includes your WordPress installation and system. Some fail in database export, some fail due to unreadable files, and some reach its resources limit, and so on. And we always recommend keeping a backup of original site so they can retry migration over and over just in case it fails.

And sure, please let us know. Thanks!
